Before formally submitting your trademark application to the National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP), you should search for your trademark to ensure that it is registrable in Vietnam.
Application
- Examining a trademark application formally: one month
- Publication of the trademark application: Two months are measured from the date the trademark application’s formalities were accepted.
- Substantive review: the trademark application will be examined between eight and nine months after it is published.
- Within one month, the NOIP will issue a Certificate of Trademark Registration if the substantive examination results indicate that the applicant’s trademark is registrable.
Documents
- Twelve trademark samples, each measuring 8 cm by 8 cm.
- A Power of Attorney supplied by SBLAW.
- A list of goods and services that bear the brand.
