Requirements
A trademark registration request that includes the applicant’s information,
- A picture of the trademark,
- A list of the products and services for which registration is sought
- The filing fee being paid.
- Within three months after the filing date, a certified copy of the priority document must be sent.
- Within two months of the filing date, a copy of the merely signed Power of Attorney must be delivered to the Tajikistani Patent Office.
Trademark Renewal
After receiving the decision to award, the grant fee must be paid within two months. After the date of filing, the trademark in Tajikistan is valid for ten years. A trademark registration holder may request an extension of the registration’s validity term, which must be lodged during the final year of the original term and renewed every 10 years thereafter. By paying the fine, the trademark may be renewed within six months of the deadline.
