Requirements
A trademark application in Taiwan must include the following information in order to receive the filing date: –
- A representation of the trademark; –
- A list of goods and services;
- Application information.
Within three months of the Taiwanese trademark application filing date, a simple signed copy of the Power of Attorney must be presented. Legalisation or notarization are not necessary.
Duration
From the time of filing until registration, processing takes around a year.
Within three months after the filing date, the Priority Document must be delivered in certified copy. It is necessary to translate the front page into Chinese. Electronic copies are also permitted.
