Requirements

An Indonesian trademark application must include the following information in order to determine the filing date

  • a scanned copy of the simply signed power of attorney
  • the applicant(s)’ name, nationality, and address
  • a trademark representation (JPG file type)
  • a list of products and/or services.
  • When the application is filed, a scanned copy of the signed Power of Attorney must be sent. Legalisation or notarization are not required.

Documents

Within three months of the filing date, the certified Priority Document must be provided in colour scan copy to the Indonesian IP Office.

Duration

Obtaining a trademark registration in Indonesia takes an average of 12–14 months, assuming all prosecution proceedings proceed without a hitch.
